The first wellness smoothie we discussed was a prenatal and pregnancy smoothie high in folate. Folate is a water-soluble B vitamin that occurs naturally in food. Leafy green vegetables such as spinach and kale, citrus fruits, and legumes are
all natural sources of folate. Folate helps the body produce and maintain new cells. This is especially important during periods of rapid growth and cell division, such as infancy and pregnancy (McNulty 2014). Folate is needed to make new DNA and also helps prevent damage to DNA that may lead to cancer. Both adults and children need folate to make normal blood cells and prevent anemia. Folate is essential for the metabolism of homocysteine, an amino acid that in high amounts may contribute to heart disease, dementia, and depression(NIH 2020).
The Blue Almond smoothie made with chocolate almond milk, blueberries, spinach, kale, almond butter and flax seed is so tasty that it will make you doubt how healthy it is.
Our next creation is an anti-inflammatory smoothie created to help calm your
body and fight inflammation. Many studies have shown that inflammation contributes to a number of health conditions and symptoms. Things like skin rashes, brain fog, fatigue, digestive issues, headaches and migraines and more
can often be attributed to inflammation. There are many foods that cause inflammation such as processed and preserved meats, dairy, gluten and white flours/starches, refined sugars, and preservatives. If you are a person who is
susceptible to inflammation, these types of foods can make your symptoms worse. This Coconut Spice anti-inflammatory smoothie is made with coconut milk, coconut flakes, dates, almonds, turmeric, ginger and cinnamon and honey.

Hi Everyone!
My name is Jessica Petit, proud Owner of Mama LIFE Oils & Wellness. Here's a little about me and my family: In 2016, my daughter was born and we discovered she has a genetic mutation where she has difficulty processing toxins, which can cause health issues down the road. Come to find out she got it from me, so we both have it. As a first time mom, I panicked! What can I do?! That's when I learned more about essential oils and natural solutions. I use my oils daily and swear by them! All of the products I make are made with organic ingredients. I also have a certified, residential kitchen where I make the best Elderberry Syrup around! If you haven't tried it, you need to! It's been a wonderful learning experience and so amazing how we can treat our homes and selves with plant-based products. I hope you enjoy my products and welcome you to a more holistic lifestyle.
Here are some amazing benefits of Elderberry:
Loaded with vitamins and antioxidants
Provides cold and flu relief
Reduces sinus infection symptoms
Lowers blood sugar
Acts as a natural diuretic
Promotes regularity
Supports skin health
Eases allergies
Could have cancer fighting effects
May improve heart health
Thank you for supporting my small business
Jess
